What is Date Caramel?
Date caramel is a healthy version of caramel that doesn’t require any refined sugars. It tastes very close to the real thing and is so healthy for you.
You won’t have to feel any guilt eating this because you are in fact healing your body and giving it the nutrients it needs when you eat this date caramel!
Date Caramel Ingredients
It’s only four ingredients, most of which you will have on hand already. You will need: dates, coconut milk, salt and maple syrup.

Date Caramel Directions
Again the simplest set of directions you will ever receive. All you need to do is throw it all in your blender and blend together until smooth.
If you don’t have a high powered blender like my Vitamix, then soak the dates for an hour or two especially if they don’t feel ooy gooey when you pick them up. This will make it easier for your blender to blend them. You could always try to blend without soaking to see if your blender passes the test. Dates are a pretty soft fruit.

What Can I Do With Date Caramel?
You can use it as a replacer for caramel in any recipe you want. Keep in mind it does need to be refrigerated.
You can use it to top cakes, drizzle over popcorn, use as a dipping sauce or a topping for ice cream. The possibilities are endless. I love to dip apples in my date caramel or eat it straight up!
